A Swordless Saturday: Blogging Pandemics

Updated: Mar 23, 2020

Since January, I've faithfully attended longsword class Saturday mornings after teaching a belly dance class.

Today, I chose not to attend due to droopy kids.

I missed it: the intensity, the people, the chance to improve even slightly. Of course, I can (and will) do my own practice, but it's the group progress that matters most to me.

Falcon (my son) and I did chores, planted kale and cabbage, fought off the hen who ravaged the kale almost immediately, and then he watched Harry Potter while I worked on their Monday craft.

I'm determined to leave this time a better mom and more excellent creator. God has given us the spirit of power, love, and soundmindness. I'm going to embrace

that fully now.

Throwback to last week when we were all swording about!
