The professional photos for the Hello Beautiful tribute dropped this morning. I'm in awe of the work everyone did!
"Cairo Balady"
This was our traditional dance at a beginner's level.
We chose baladi dresses or pants and cholis with a red/black/silver scheme.
The emotional intention was "joy" with an audience-focus: lots of smiles!
The song does include a more introspective taksim section, so the choreography allowed for us to improv or follow my dancing lead.
The Skirt Dance
I shared the dance in a previous post, but these photos captured so much of the emotion behind this tribute piece.
