Creative Adventures in Literature DIT

An Online Art and Literature Class for Freshmen and Sophomores

Service Description

Discover the joy of combining art and literature! In this introduction to literature, students will ready poetry, short stories, novels, and plays while gaining an understanding of graphic design, drawing, costume design, and more! Each class is prerecorded and includes the following: 1. Lesson 2. Handouts 3. Literature 4. Daily lesson planner and guide 5. Rubrics for projects if you want me to grade them. 6. Weekly LIVE Zoom meetings Tuesdays 11:30 am-12:15 pm EST If you're interested in using this in your co-op or as part of a group class in your area, please message me to discuss number of students (please do not make a single payment and show to multiple teens that aren't in your family) and how to create a class account. Every class includes access to Schoology, and online learning management system that allows you to keep up with assignments, grades, and more. Semester 1 lasts from August-December. You'll receive at least three lessons a week and up to more, depending on the weekly project. I recommend setting aside an hour a day to watch the videos and do the work. Here's the schedule August: Poetry and movement and graphic design September: Fairy tales and myths: watercolor/drawing October: Short Stories ("The Masque of the Red Death," "The Open Window," and "The Invisible Girl") and 3-D design and poster making November-December: _A Midsummer's Night Dream_ and costume design
