Learn the process of sheath making starting with a piece of leather and ending with a custom made piece!
You'lll learn the process of fitting, hole punching, hand sewing, setting snaps, and using geometric stamping. Students who take the Leather Working Basics may have the time to do some basic carving.
Week 1: Intro to geometric stamps (basket weaves, dragon scales, barbed wire, etc) and making a sheath pattern
Week 2: Cutting out the sheath, creating a welt, stamping
Week 3: Punching holes, dyeing, glueing
Week 4: Sewing the sheath and putting in the handle guard
Time: Mondays, 10-11
