Learn the fundamentals of darbuka and frame drumming with Marcus Octavius.
 
The rhythms of Egypt are essential to a belly dancer's dance vocabulary. 
 
One of the best ways to make these rhythms part of your body and to appreciate the drummer's art is to learn how to play the darbuka and the frame drum!
 
Marcus Octavius will teach a four-week drumming session starting with the basic sounds on the darbuka and frame drum.
 
He'll then work with you to add a new rhythm with variations each week. 
 
The goal of these classes is to help you understand and then relax into the rhythms so you can eventually play with confidence and prepare you for future, more advanced classes. 
 
The classes will be held at Bright Eyes Belly Dance in Downtown Greer.
